These Rules are to be read in conjunction with the details on the original advertising sheet for the Winter Fours.

One round of 17 games plus finals with a morning and afternoon session will be played (games 1-4 will be played over the first two weeks, 2 eleven end games with handicaps halved for each game).

Play is to start at 9:00am for the morning session and at 12.30pm for the afternoon session. A bell will be rung at approx. 12:15am and 4.00pm, any games still in progress will end with the completion of the end in progress.

If rain or other adverse conditions delay or stop play, at least 15 ends must have been completed for the result of the game to count. Games not reaching 15 completed ends will be deemed drawn.

Handicaps for each team (4) in each game are to be determined by adding the individual handicaps of the participating members. Total team handicaps ending in 0.5 or greater to be rounded up to the next whole number, handicaps ending in less than 0.5 are to be rounded to the lower whole number. Games are to start with the team handicaps as the score.

Substitutes with an approved handicap may be used if listed team members are unavailable. Substitutes may not skip.

Points will be allocated as follows: - Win 3, Draw 2, Loss 1, Forfeit 0. If teams finish equal on points aggregate, shots up will be used to determine final positions.

To participate in finals a player must have played in at least four roster matches.

Set on the basis of the Division the majority of Saturday/Thursday pennant games that were played this season in the second round

Calculations of team handicap is to be shown on the score cards by entering the player's handicap with his or her name on the front of the card as follows:

Teams not complying with this rule will be penelised by:

a) Non return of score card: forfeit of points

b) Failure to enter team on score card: forfeit of handicap and deduction of 1 point from corrected games result

c) Failure to enter handicaps on score card: forfeit of handicap

d) Error in calculation of team handicap: if less not corrected, if greater, handicap reduced by twice the error

In the event that games are abandoned prior to the commencement of games, each team will be awarded 2 points.

If the morning games are abandoned and the afternoon games are played - the teams playing in the morning will be awarded 2 points each.

If games are abandoned prior to the commencement, it is preferred that the decision to abandon is by the consensus of the members playing. If a consensus cannot be reached, two or more members of the Committee of Management and/or Men's Sub-committee present will make the decision.

In the event of adverse weather conditions after play has commenced, two or more members of the Committee of Management and/or Men's Sub-committee present will make the decision to abandon play.

In the event that play is abandoned, 15 ends must be completed to constitute a game. When 50% or more of games are played (includes both morning and afternoon games) points shall be allocated for all completed games. For those games not completed, teams will be awarded 2 points each.
